Office of Curriculum and Instruction

Office of Curriculum and Instruction

The Office of Curriculum and Instruction (OCI) at Tarlac State University serves as the primary administrative body responsible for the systematic design, implementation, and evaluation of the university's academic programs. The office ensures that all curricula remain responsive to global trends and compliant with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) mandates through two specialized functional branches: the Curriculum Standards Management Unit and the Instruction Unit. The former is tasked with the structural integrity of academic offerings, focusing on the alignment of program outcomes with industry competency standards and the periodic revision of course frameworks. Complementing this, the Instruction Unit oversees the pedagogical delivery of the curriculum by monitoring classroom instruction, facilitating professional development for faculty, and spearheading the creation of innovative instructional materials. By integrating these two pillars, the OCI maintains a cohesive educational ecosystem that balances theoretical rigor with the practical demands of the professional landscape.
